About

Claudia Lucacel is a freelance artist experimenting in performing arts, video/film productions, and photography in Oslo, Norway.

​

Claudia Lucacel brings over 15 years of diverse experience in the cultural sector, having worked on a wide range of projects in Greece, the USA, the UK, and Norway. She is deeply committed to using art as a powerful tool to foster social change, empowerment, and integration.

 

As a theater instructor, Claudia has witnessed firsthand the profound impact of theater in addressing and exploring social and political issues.

​

 

Originally from Romania and raised in Greece, Claudia has lived in Norway since 2014. She holds degrees in theater and film studies from institutions in both Greece and Norway. Claudia has led numerous forum theater workshops and projects aimed at integrating marginalized groups, including immigrants, refugees, and individuals with backgrounds in substance abuse and mental health. Her passion for applied and physical theater, particularly Grotowski techniques, has been further developed through international training and participation in artist residencies.

 

In addition to her artistic work, Claudia serves as a production manager and fundraiser for prominent Norwegian cultural organizations, including Jo Strømgren Kompani, Grusomhetens Teater, and VoxLAB.

 

Originally from Iasi, Romania, she grew up in Santorini, Greece until she moved to Nafplio to study. In 2012, Claudia, graduated from the University of Peloponnese - Faculty of Fine Arts, Theatre Studies Department with a BA in Acting and Directing and since then she has been working in various theater productions in Greece, USA, UK and Norway.

Currently, Claudia is a student at OsloMet - Oslo Metropolitan University, getting her master degree in Drama and Theater Studies at the Master’s Program in Visual and Performing Arts. In addition she is attended the one year Film Art course at OsloMet.

​

Claudia constantly challenges herself in different art forms that will expand her creativity and knowledge.

In her work she explores the “moment”,

how to create the "moment",

how to be in the "moment",

how to capture the moment.
